Characteristics of studio photography

Studio photography
Consistent light sources
Flash light
Tungsten lights
layout
plan a shoot
camera settings stay the same
In the studio a photographer has total control, plan a shoot, deciding what lights to use for different subjects. He can use tungsten or flash lighting, creating soft or hard lighting. The camera settings stay the same if the light set up doesn't change. This give control to the photographer to experiment to get the right camera setting for e.g to achieve a shallow depth of field.
